hi I'm a little concerned about the bees. I have friends in America and they have seen a decrease in bees there and i have to say i have noticed that there are a lot less bees this summer despite putting loads of lavender and sage in my garden for them. does anyone know if this is true or am i imagining it.Fi. X X X X |

Yes many hives of Honeybees have collapsed over there + there are all sorts of theories for this disaster. |

i was just curious that anything was being done about it. i mean are the powers that be looking in to it, i mean not wanting to sound melodramatic but if our bees die we are in big trouble.X X X X |

Because this is of economic as well as ecological significance a lot of research is going on. There was a feature on Countryfile about this either last weekend or the one before. | | |
