Just had a Red Admiral in the garden,very late for southeast Scotland!

Good record, though they can be seen any month of the year: normally sightings would have reduced by now.

We had 4 very new and shiny ones on the ivy about a week ago, the first I had seen this year. Beautiful to see them is such good condition, they must have been a very new hatch.

Just seen a Red Admiral fly past my office window. A little surprised but reading up on them, it looks like they're one of the last species to disappear for the winter.

I assume the balmy December we're having and presence of lots of ivy near my office have kept them out until now?!
