On the walk today with the dogs I saw about 20-40 Red Admirals, feeding in the Ivy tree's, never seen so many in one place. Quite beautiful. |

Was a few on on some ivy in full of flowers growing up the outside of a garden fence near to me till rain came other day but wont be any more now local housing association landscapers cut it all back to day even though well kept by resident who live in house fence was round   MIKE |

At last two RA's on ivy next to my garden this lunchtime, very fresh-looking they are too, despite a cool breeze and only 14 degrees in the shade.

More on the wing this year than ive ever seen before. Struggled to see a few last year.Have seen literally dozens everytime ive been out.Good to see them in good numbers. |

I never realized how much insect life an ivy hedge supports before I joined WAB. This weekend my ivy hedge was literally, quite literally buzzing with activity:
