2 Butterfly confirmations
Would I be right in saying I have:

Small Skipper?


2 Small Copper?


The butterfly in the 2nd photo (same as bottom right butterfly in photo 1) seemed larger than the usual Small Copper I know, is it just very old and worn?

Male Large Skipper in the first photo, and the second two do show Small Coppers.

Top one is Large Skipper (I think) note the slight checkering pattern on the wing.

Both in the bottom pictures are Small Copper - not sure what why there is a size difference. Could be gender, generation, how much the caterpillar got to eat - but I don't know for sure.

The male Small Copper is usually smaller with more pointed wings.

Later broods are larger and brighter.
