Would i be correct in saying the first image is a common blue and the second image a silver studded blue?

I'm thinking male Common Blue for both. Silver-studded has a lot more black on the upper side.

Thank you for your comment, now that you have pointed that out it doesnt look like there is anywhere near enough black on top. |

I agree with Deb, but always a good idea to say in your post where the photos are taken as habitat + locality will assist in the IDs of many butterflies which can be habitat specialists. |
