Blue butterfly ID

This one has me a bit stumped, I can't find any photo of any species with a similar pattern. Could it be just an anomalous common blue? It was about the same size as the common blues I was seeing, perhaps a touch bigger, but I can't say for sure. It was on the Isle of Sark (Channel Islands).

Here's the under-wing with the frown shaped pattern that's got me puzzled.


And heres the upper-side, probably of the same specimen, but there were a few different blues around so there is a chance I ended up chasing the wrong one. Either way, this upper-side is also different from the definite common blues I was photographing.


Any help would be appreciated .

Lower is a male Common Blue + if the upper image is the same individual then it has a slight aberration in the normal spot pattern.

Hope you had a good time- I've never been to Sark.
