Small or Essex Skippers please?
I thought these today must be Small Skippers, but then read that on the antennae, the underside of the tip is orange in the Small Skipper, and black on the Essex Skipper - so perhaps these are Essex, or is the angle wrong? Help gratefully received!

The bottom two are clearly Essex Skippers with the black ink effect on the antenna tips. The top image doesn't appear to show this ( though the angle isn't as good) so I'm veering towards Small Skipper for this one.

Male Essex for me for the top one. The sex brand is short and parallel to the edge of the wing.
