| | | Where to see Purple Emperors? Could someone point me to the nearest place to Hayes in Middlesex that I might have a good chance of seeing Purple Emperors at the moment? Would also help if the location is a nice place for a family walk too
Thanks,
Nige |

I saw purple emperors starting from the west car park at Broxbourne Woods two years ago on July 4 2009. |

| | | Re: Where to see Purple Emperors? Kool thanks guys, Broxbourne Woods might be a bit far but I'll see what people want to do, I'll definately pop along on my own at some point though. Weather doesn't look too great this weekend either though

| | | Re: Where to see Purple Emperors? Bricket Wood (between Watford and St Albans) is reportedly to have purple emperors, but we didn't see any on the recent guided walk.

| | | Re: Where to see Purple Emperors? Ruislip Woods would probably be your closest, though the viewing area isn't as good as other sites where I see them. I saw 2 last month; a friend of mine saw 3 males the day before + saw one there last Friday, though I suspect they'll be over soon as they were around early this year. |
