| | | Butterflies in boggy areas Hi all,
I'm new here and not sure if I'm in the right forum, but I hope you can help me. I'm a botanical artist, currently painting a selection of bog plants, growing in Wales:
1. Dactylorhiza maculata (Marsh orchid)
2. Lychnis flos-cuculi (Ragged robin)
3. Rumex acetosa (Sorrel)
4. Myosotis palustris (Water-forget-me-not)
5. Juncus effusus (Common rush)
Not being overly familiar with butterlfies, could you name butterflies and/or moths who's typical habitat would be a boggy area in Mid-Wales, please.
Thank you all in advance. |

| | | Re: Butterflies in boggy areas you could also look at dragonflies.they make good artistic subjects and i am sure there would be a few species found in mid wales. The Common hawker would be one and maybe the four spotted chaser.these would often perch on vegetation.
