High Brown or Dark Green Fritillary?

I took this today. Saw so many frits out and about .

I assume from my internet reading that this is a Dark Green because the "third dot" is falling in line with the others.

That's the method I use. I find it very reliable, especially at the Silverdale sites in Lancs where both occur.

There is a line of distinct and separate spots running roughly parallel with the line of paler spots on the edge of the wing.

Count back along this line from the leading edge of the fore wing; the third is noticeably smaller on this insect. It is also falling in line with the rest.
