I was delighted to see my first Small Blue in Surrey at the weekend, but te weather was not good for butterflies. This bedraggled specimen paused for a few photos. I'm hoping it's Chalkhill Blue? Thanks in advance.

It is very worn! It won't be a Chalkhill Blue as they aren't on the wing yet! |

Based on the spots, could that be a Northern Brown Argus?
EDIT: LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION, LOL. Common Blue then?

The pattern on the underwing suggests Brown Argus to me. |

It was very worn but I hadn't thought of Brown Argus. This was at a different site than the Small Blues we saw at Hutchinsons Bank. This was at Temple Ewell, also on the North Downs. | | |
