| | | blue butterfly hatched from mangetout peas Bought some mangetout peas from a supermarket( imported from Kenya) and didn't eat them. A week later opened them to eat the peas which were well grown, and found three short and dumpy caterpillers inside, about 1 cm long. Sadly two died in my sweaty lunchbox, but one hatched today and despite having deformed wings is probably a Lang's short tailed blue. Its a tribute to the freshness and pesticide free quality of commercial vegetables.
Anyone else raised pets from their lunch? |
