Silver-washed Fritillary

Hi all.

Thought i'd just share some photos with you.

Went to Holt country park in Norfolk to see the Silver-washed Fritillary that has been there a few days. It turned out to be a bit of a tatty specimen but it was the first time i've seen one so i wasn't too bothered what it looked like.



Whilst there a Broad-bordered bee hawk moth made an apperance but I didn't get a picture.
I did manage to get this Humming-bird Hawk moth though, which is a first for me this year.

I've seen my first Silver-washed fritillaries this year but no hummingbird hawk moths. Don't forget to log your HHM sighting on the Butterfly Conservation's Migrant Watch: Migrant Watch - Butterfly Conservation

That one is a little bit mashed David,it is as worn(that time of year )as the one I had in a garden centre a few days back.
Just in case you didn't know, this one is a male.
