Urban Fritillary ID

Am I right in thinking that this is a Silver-washed Fritillary? I have just photographed it in a break between it patrolling up and down my London garden! Is this very unusual?

certainly a silver-washed. I presume it's fairly unusual to get one in the middle of a large settlement, but I'm not suuure...

Hi Aaron

A Silver-Washed Fritillary it is,you'd expect to see it more near ancient woodland,but they can wander a bit.I've had a few in my garden,but then again I've got a good area of ancient woodland a mile from me.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Have been researching a bit and it seems that they are known from a wood about 3.5 miles from here, but they would have to cross a lot of urban area inbetween!
