Trouble Deciding: Essex or Small Skipper


I am having trouble deciding on this one, whether its an Essex or Small Skipper as the shot isn't ideal.

I am tending towards Essex Skipper as the antennal clubs don't seem to be showing anything in the way of orange. Also I get the feeling that the upper-side black margin which is just visible seems a bit more smudged and extends slightly up the vein.

Does anyone else interpret it the same or differently?

As you say a far from perfect photo, but from what I can see of just 1 antenna, it does appear (assuming this isn't a trick of the light in the photo) to have a black underside, which would make it an Essex Skipper.
