has anyone else noticed that it seems to be a good summer for white admirals? The area of old coppiced woodland i regularly walk in , on the northdowns nr sevenoaks, Kent, has the most i've seen since i've been in the uk

I agree Suzy- I've seen good numbers at sites in the west London suburbs. hope to see more tomorrow at Bookham Common. |

Yes Suzy, you,re right, I visited the Bleans Complex and saw a number at each. I had one on my thumb and took a "piccy".its in the forum pictures.How it ended up on my thumb is another story.

I found a wood that contains them here in gloucestershire ,first time i have ever seen them,but there seems plenty in this wood. |

Loads at Bricket Wood common (between St Albans and Watford), including the aberrant form obliterae (i.e no white on wings) so I am reliably informed |
