Blean woods heath fritillaries

Hello Ukwildlifeo,
the dragon is very interesting,in that this is a newly hatched "dragon" only maybe 30mins old.The wings are still up and in the process of dropping into the "locked" position we all know.I would say it is a male "Migrant" as you can just see the blue-grey abdomen line forming next to the thorax.With the very pale eye and yellow thorax stripe,lack of antehumeral stripe and long claspers it would also point to the "migrant".

Tremendous numbers of Heath Fritillary on the wing in both East Blean Woods and West Blean Woods again today. They have now been joined by large numbers of Ringlets. I also saw a couple of White Admirals in both of these reserves.

I manged to get to east blean last weekend and was treated to many many heath frittilaries, so thanks for all the tips folks. Pics up at some point!
