Brown Argus?
Up in the meadow today, common blues are emerging by the minute. I know I am crazy but is is so exciting...
However, last year I am convinced I saw some Brown Argus here in Shropshire but stupidly I had deleted all my photographs as they were not very good...
Anyway, I spotted this one this morning and ran back to get my macro to try and get a decent shot. It seemed smaller than both the male blues and my percieved female common blues in the same area..
I never could work out which spots to count so here it is:


the best I could get of the underside and the topside



If it is, it makes it all doubly exciting

It is a Brown Argus- no spot closer than halfway in on the under forewing + a : type pattern on the under hindwing on the upper edge.
