I need a white/black/rainbow coloured butterflies.

I'm looking for pictures of three different coloured butterflies for a story I am writing. I need a picture of pure black butterfly(no white specks); a pure white butterfly(no specks of any colour); and rainbow coloured butterfly.

I don't think you'll get 'real' butterflies with the colour scheme you want! You'll have to get someone to draw or paint them. My partner could do it, but she's pretty busy illustrating a children's book. She's quite competent, here's a sample of her work I posted a while ago:

Yes I think you're going to struggle to find this in real butterflies, unless maybe peacock could be considered rainbow coloured (and its quite black on the underwing).

You're probably going to have to look to illustrations or non-British butterflies.

Even looking at all butterfly species in the world I doubt there are many completely mono colour.

Maybe look at the Wood white butterfly for the white though. That's probably as close as you'll get to complete white in a British butterfly (at least on the underwing).

That's right. You can try Pseudopontia paradoxa for white one, rainbow - I thought about Chrysiridia rhipheus. Black is the hardest one - Odezia atrata is black, but it's got white wing tips... Maybe Acanthopsyche atra?
And only P. paradoxa is real butterfly, rest of them are moths - if it matters.
