Brimstones Mating attempt
I was lucky today to witness a meeting of two Brimstone Butterflies.
Despite the female making her intentions perfectly clear, the male never successfully completed the mating.
Here's a few shots from the many I got.

Firstly the meeting:









I don't think the male had any idea what to do!




Finally she gave up and away they flew.

Great pics! Saw a male Brimstone today but no females...
