First butterfly pics of 2010

Hello

Managed to get my first couple of butterfly pics of 2010.
These where taken at Kiveton Woodlands (South Yorks).
Aprrox 10 peacocks but only the one Small Tortoiseshell



Nice mornings walk with a few skylarks singing and displaying

Nice ones! I've seen lots of Peacocks over the last few days but not many other species + haven't seen a Small Tortoiseshell at yet this year.

Nice images! I've seen lots of both just recently, particularly the small tortoiseshells around the coastal areas of Newport, Wales. At one point saw a group of 6 small tortoiseshells squabbling in the air, great to see!

I saw my first of the year a few days ago, one lone peacock flying past Victoria Coach station! Maybe just got off a coach But yesterday saw a holly blue on my way out and a couple of speckled woods in a local garden - quite small though.
