Saw a male brimstone flying about on Inkpen Common 4 weeks ago, first one I'd seen this year. There is something special about them - that lovely sulphur yellow, flitting about in the early spring.
Yesterday I was watching a peacock butterfly sunning itself on a garden path in Reading... Like it, I was soaking up some of the warmth! |

Lots of male Brimstones today in the woodland rides in the gorgeous warm sunshine
Alighting briefly on the primroses and wild daffodils - but not long enough to get any decent footage  |

I hate Brimstones!
I've spent hours stalking them to try to get a shot of one with its wings open, but never managed it. I think they keep their wing closed deliberately!

Saw 7 Brimstones Whilst walking Wellow brook yesterday to Stoni littleton.On way back more were seen.
