| | | Re: First this year - comma My first butterfly of the year (in Sheffield) was a comma, the week before last. Have seen few other, mainly brimstones, since. Today in the East Midlands some very tatty looking small tortoiseshells and a peacock but very bright and active brimstones! |

| | | Re: First this year - comma had a few hours sorting some bits out in the garden this afternoon and added to the butterflies i saw earlier are another Comma, a Peacock and a Small Tortoiseshell. The first day of real sunshine in the area seems to be doing its trick and now hope it lasts |
