| | | Over-wintered friend? This Tortoiseshell could have been the one which visited me almost daily last autumn, flying in through the open patio door and fluttering round, then going out again. It appeared on Sunday, and as it was 12 degrees and sunny outside I let it go out. Hopefully it found a cool spot to go to sleep again.
