| | | Small Copper and Red Admirals I was surprised to see so many butterflies today, as I walked around my local villages. I saw three Red Admirals at different places, the first time this year I've seen three in a day, and I also saw Small Coppers at three places, the most I've ever seen. Also saw a couple of Commas and a Speckled Wood. |

| | | Re: Small Copper and Red Admirals Nothing surprising you can expect to see all four species in good numbers for the next couple of weeks at least.

| | | Re: Small Copper and Red Admirals Last weekend I saw no fewer than 10 Small Copper in a small heathy area of Ruislip Woods; they seem to be having a good season.
Last couple of days around town have just seen Red Admiral + Speckled Wood. |

| | | Re: Small Copper and Red Admirals There are plenty of pre-hibernators about as well as second brood small coppers, whites, clouded yellows, third brood brown argus and a few tatty old blues. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
