Butterfly ID
Can the WABers help me? i took a picture during the middle of summer when i first started taking butterfly pictures, when i took it i orginally thought it was of a Large White Can anybody offer their opinions?


I now think that it is of a Green Viened White

It is most definately a Green-veined White.

Nearest butterfly size wise and appearance wise is the Small White, but the Small White does not have the defined "veining" on the underside of the hind-wing.

It is worth looking out for the regional forms of the GV White, in part of Scotland and Ireland quite exotic very yellow varieties can be found.
