I think its a brown argus ... it has no blue dusting But it looks a little old and tired does the blue fade with age (thinking it could also be a female Chalkhill Blue as there a few males flying in same area? ) |

I think it is a Brown Argus,
check out my pic and note the white tips to the antennae Some northerly argus have a white circle arround the black spot on the forewing and some dont,
The marginal markings on a Chalkhill blue are more divided than the argus
I hope this helps

I dont know how you would tell the difference in the field without refurring back to a photo
