| | | Butterflies at Kiveton Woodlands 6 August 2009 Hello
Took my 7 year old daughter for a walk on Kiveton Woodlands yesterday in the sunshine!
We encountered these butterflies
1 Peacock (poor photo couldn't get one with wings open) - saw 3
2 Painted Lady - quite fresh saw several
3 Mating Gatekeepers
4 Common Blue ?female
Could be wrong with the blue
Lots of whites around as well that Molly kept giving names to!
Thanks for looking

They had been learning about butterflies at school and she got a book about butterflies as a leaving present from the infant school that is lovely.

I help with the scouts and find they all love been in the outdoors the problem is normally getting adults to take them.
