It looks like a pretty worn Speckled Wood, Pararge aegeria. Which part of the UK was this taken at? |

When I was in the Highlands a few weeks back we saw a few there, were apparently they've only been around for a few years. |

My husband spotted one whilst walking the dog on Sunday, it was in the same place that I saw the first one to be spotted in Aviemore last year.
Fingers crossed that the colony is getting well established and the butterfly will carry on expanding its range.  | | |
