| | | Large Blues at Collard Hill Hi,
I have used the phone number to try and talk to the people there and its on an automated answerphone which was last updated on the 6th of July. I'm trying to find out whether the Large Blues are still here ( UK butterflies states they have a 2nd brood but I'm not sure if the introduced ones do). Anyone know if they are still there? |

| | | Re: Large Blues at Collard Hill Hi Treehawk,
I have a feeling that you are a bit late for this species now, as far as I'm aware there is only a single brood of Large Blues each year, and given the recent weather I doubt very much if there are still any hanging about now. Thats probably why you are only getting an old answerphone message.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. |

Not really what I wanted to hear as I've missed all except the Purple Emperor and Brown Hairstreak (Adonis blue, Heath, Marsh and Glanville fritillary, Green hairstreak, Black and White-letter hairstreak are gone too). I will just have to try in June next year. |

Unfortunately, they're well over now.
