Female studded blue maybe?

Was in a church yard where heather was growing and this butterfly was busy feeding. Loved the speckles on the wings.

Would love to know what it is and which sex.

Studded blue male comes to mind but not at all sure.
Help please.

I think I'd agree with you. It looks a bit chunky for a SS Blue.

Unless it's worn, the underside of the forewing doesn't appear to have the typical dark spot close to the body seen in Common Blues. (However, I live somewhere where I'm unlikely to see anything other than Common Blues (and Brown Argus) so am very unfamiliar with the other possibilities!)
