| | | Butterflies at Anston Stones and Lindrick Common Over the last month or so I have started taking more notice of the butterflies and looked on the butterfly conservation website. The Yorkshire group had a trip planned to Lindrick Common. This is about a 5 min drive form my house but I couldn't make the day they were going so went today. A really good couple of hours produced
1 Marbled White
2 Dark Green Fritillary
3 Coma
4 Common Blue (I think)
5 Small White (I think)
As well as 5 and six spotted narrow banded Burnet moths
Other species included ringlet and hedge brown, but I was captivated by the marble white and Fritillary. Looking at the target species for the area I think I got most of them.
Thanks for looking and any corrections to ID please feel free to comment.
