Silver Washed Fritillaries
Went on a guided walk this morning through Bricket Wood (nr. St Albans, Herts) and saw about seven of these:



Also quite a few of these:

Also lots of Ringlets, Skippers, fresh Peacocks, a Brimstone, a few Marbled Whites and numbers of GV WHites:



All in all, a very enjoyable morning...

Lovely photos Robin, It`s great to see lots of different butterflies isn`t it. I haven`t seen a SW fritillary this year yet. Sounds like you had a great day
