My mate Charlie, found this last week in a dried up river bed in Spain whilst on holiday.Can you help with identification please. Thank you..

might be a Thread-winged Lacewing, I've seen these in spain.

Yeah barber is right - its a lacewing - one of the Nemopteridae.

Looks similar to some Nemoptera sp., though not knowing how many species are in Spain or how variable they are I can't be sure.

I can now put a name to it. Lovely thing isnt it? I found it flitting for ages before resting. I was in a dried up river bed, in the foothills of the Andalucian Mountains!! Heaven, just heaven. Thanks again. Cheers also Bry.
