| | | Is this possibly a Northern Brown Argus? I would be grateful if someone could confirm whether or not this is a Northern Brown Argus. My mate Charlie had this yesterday at Trowbarrow Quarry at Silverdale.. Any help to confirm this one way or another would be much appreciated. |

Hope the weather is co-operative! | If you're going to be in the Speyside area, have a walk round the nature trail at Insh Marshes RSPB reserve, I saw 10 species of butterfly there on Sunday including several Northern Brown Argus. If the weather is good, there's also a good chance of seeing Dragonflies, yesterday's weather was brilliant and we saw a few.
Uath Lochans in Inshriach forest is good for Northern Emerald Dragonflies and there are pools in Abernethy forest that are good for the quite rare Northern Damselfly and also White-faced Darter.
The weather has been wet and thundery today, but is supposed to be better again as from tomorrow, to be honest we needed the rain to clear the air, the last 10 days were very hot and muggy. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
