Barely got over my excitement at seeing the Holly Blue - I looked out of the window and it was still on the hedge being accosted by another one!!!

I've seen my first Holly Blues today too! We saw 3 at Kew Gardens + when we arrived home there were 2 in the front garden! |

I saw my first (2 males and a female - but not indulging in any mating activity!) a couple of days ago at a local nature reserve. Then, saw one in the garden this afternoon. A bit flighty at this time of year - I find them far more approachable in the summer. |

Holly Blue and Peacocks, Brimstone, Large White, and a smallish butterfly with Orange and White wings which I did not get a proper look at, a really good butterfly day today
