It couldn't be as bad as last years monsoon summer, with very few butterflies up here in Scotland, especially Red Admirals - I saw two all year.

I've seen my first today- there were 2 together in the back garden + later there was 1 in the front garden (possibly 1 of the earlier 2?)

I saw my first today too, also my first Brimstone and Orange-tip of the year and loads of Peacocks.

We did better further north, I passed on almost 300 seperate butterfly sightings to the butterfly recorder for Scotland last year, although there were definitely fewer Red Admirals and Painted Ladies than normal.

I saw some today and got a really cool photo too, i saw a bunch of orange tip but couldn't get one to sit still long enough will upload the brown now I know what it is, thanks
