Saw the first one in my garden last week. Spotted lots more this morning - singly and in pairs - on a walk to the bluebell woods. Also small coppers.
Looks like being a good year for butterflies and flowers. |

I saw my first of the year as well today 
I believe that are very common butterflies in the Midlands which makes sense because we seemed to be overrun with them last summer!
