| | New Butterfly Found Read this today on THE NATURE DETECTIVE news letter i get. I think its fantastic..
A new species of butterfly has been found in the UK!
Discovered in an ancient woodland in Kent, scientists have so far been unable to indentify it.
The mysterious butterfly has been called Aprilis baceolus and since the first sighting it has been spotted all over the country.
We need more sightings to find out where the new butterfly is living. Let us know if you see it, you could even write your own newspaper report! Aprilis baceolus can be identified by the bright orange 'eyes' on its wings as well as its unusual blue stripes.

| | Re: New Butterfly Found Hi everyone
The April fool went really well - over 16,000 people visited the page yesterday and many of those downloaded spotter sheets to go out hunting for Aprilis baceolus - great fun!
Thanks for all your kind comments and helping to spread the laughs,

| | | Re: New Butterfly Found Nice one.
My favourite from yesterday was in the local newspaper where it was reported that Kerri Catona was singing the Icelandic National Anthem ahead of Scotland's World Cup qualifier with Iceland.
