Friendly butterfly

Found a red admiral today-- probably hatched from the sun. It was quite docile... it sat quite happily on my finger (and then my nose-- very tickly!) Well, after that I took it up to the water mint and put it on a flower, which it loved (spent ages poking around with its proboscis) Wondered whether butterflies like out-of-season marsh marigold which has been fooled into flowering by the rain, and this also went down well. It then jumped onto my finger once more for more samples, so I took it to the yellow buddleia. After a while of drinking here, it finally stopped being lazy and catching the taxi everywhere and decided to fly for itself. It sunbathed a little, then went back on the buddleia again.
Quite good to see one so close up! I used to chase them all the time when I was little but could never get one to willingly sit on my finger for more than a second.
