ID of Butterfly please

Hi all

I think this is a Ringlet. Can someone please put me out of my misery. The one in the Collins insect book only shows the underside. This also is only showing one eyespot on each wing?

I would say a male Meadow Brown.

I'd say meadow brown, for sure.

I agree with neil, the male Meadow brown is smaller than the female darker in colour and the false eyes are less prominent.
