| | | Re: BUtterflies 2008 Certainly have! 1st January-on my patio, around mid-day. Red Admiral in pristine condition!! I submitted it that day to Butterfly Conservation, Kent Branch. Yellowhammer-who lives not too far away has seen RA's too.

| | | Re: BUtterflies 2008 I haven't seen one this year but last January was given a small tort that a friend had found unfortunately dead, on her windowsill on Christmas Day. Still in a bug box by my office window and amazingly it still looks pristine. |

| | | Re: BUtterflies 2008 I saw a cabbage white today. It had black dots on it wings I'm sure it wasn't a brimstone. It looked in a bad way It looked like it couldn't fly. It was at the side of the road on raised verge. |

| | | Re: BUtterflies 2008 Small Tortoiseshell flying around the house on a bright, sunny day last week.
Droneflies and large buff-tailed bumblebee also about. The early flowering heather attracts them as soon as the day warms up.
