Butterfly ID please.
I am not too up on Butterflies. Even so I can't seem to find this one in my Butterfly book. It will be a common one I would have thought as there were a lot of them about at Lakenheath in Suffolk.

It must be a worn one as the markings in my book appear to be all but missing on this butterfly.

Yep, it's a very worn out Ringlet! There's loads of them around this area this year, unlike last year when I struggled to find them.

John, now you're well on the way to mastering moths, butterflies will be no trouble for you! Most people do it the other way around.
