| | | Re: Unidentified Butterfly Large White spots tend to be more blotchy, Green-Veined has very distinct green scales down the veins of the underside of hind & front wings. Given the absence of these characters, I'll go for Small White. |

On the large whites and green-veined whites the vein divides before it gets to the black dot on the forewing and goes past each side of it. In the picture, as with small whites, the rib goes right through the dot. |

| | | Re: Unidentified Butterfly Most definately, you only need to check the other pictures that were posted at the same time with this one. On its own this picture would certainly be difficult to ascertain but the mottling on the underside of the wing is just visible if studied carefully.
