Can anyone help me find a 'Woodlore' course....

Hi all I tried getting a place on Ray Mears Woodlore course for my HUbby, but they are all taken for this yr and next... there must be a cheaper alternative and just as good if not better -

Does anyone know of a course similar to the Ray Mears one. Preferably in Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire area.

There are lots of courses ranging from 1 day to 5 days. I have never been on one but woudl like to one day. Try typing "bushcraft course" "survival course" "bushcraft" etc into your favouraite internet search engine. You will get lots of hits. The Ray Mears ones are booked years in advance. If you read the small print they are normally run by one of his instructors not the great man himself.

There are also some bushcraft forums where you may get some advice on good courses. This is one I sometimes visit and maybe you could ask there

After spending a couple of days searching the internet I did not find sites as useful as the 2 you have pointed me towards, I guess I have not inputted the right search 'words'.
