many thanks alex | OK, bit of a long shot, but hae you tried aquarium suppliers? Pet shops, garden centres and the like? The sometimes have ornamental stone for sale, and you may turn up a piece there! But, like I said, a long shot...
Failing that, do you have any members of family in the areas above, who you could ask to send you some...

| | | Re: flint??? Brandon in Suffolk is _the_ place for high quality flint for knapping. They still knap flint there for flintlock firearms.
