| | | Re: Fred J Taylor Sad to hear that he has died . I actually met the guy once about 20 years ago at a fishing exhibition he was a very down to earth man. I always felt that he was somewhat unfairly overshadowed by Richard Walker many of Freds books are as foward thinking and technically edvanced as RW.
I think that the quality of his writing far exceeds that of RW such titles as "Angling in Earnest " are superb pieces of writing and the "Fishing for Tench" book was technically brilliant. Successful Angling although in a very unusual style brought Taylor / Walker and Falkus together surely three of the most influential angling writers of the 20th Century....
