Fox Hunting in Priddy

At a time when Fox Hunting is supposedly banned and certainly breaks the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Act 2005 on a daily basis, you would think that Fox Hunts would do all they could to keep friendly with their neighbours and local community. That doesn't seem to be the case.
Mendip Farmers Hunt seem to be going out of their way to upset their neighbours in Priddy (see Canine - Priddy, Mendip Farmers Hunt Kennels at Underbarrow Farm, Somerset )
and in Ubley (see Fly Ubley - Campaign Website for Resumption of Flying at Ubley )
and in Whixall the North Shropshire Hunt are also annoying their neighbours (see Campaign againt kennels moving to...).
You would think during these times, the Hunting community would be doing all they can to keep local communities on their side.

Come on, that is the same answer as "Get off moi laand"

I have followed your arguments with interest, and felt a lot of sympathy for you for some of the comments thrown at you, but this is not helpful.

Well thanks for the sympathy but i can't help it, it is just not banned.

Not sure what the "Get off moi laand" comment is supposed to mean ?

The hunting act is available for all to read.

The links on the first post were what you should be worried about.

Have a read.

The Hunting Act 2004.

Again, the devil is in the detail.

Read the exemptions.

Not really Mr Fish.

I just thought the original post was a bit nasty.

It is not illegal to ride with hounds and I think the dangers from hound excrement are a little over cooked !!

Hunting is legal as long as it is done within the exemptions of the act.

Not really causing an argument as it is a law.

Simple as that.

I live down the road from Whixall and can confirm the locals are really teed off. This same Hunt was in trouble a while back for discharging dog faeces directly into a river.

Something that had been going on for over a century, and that they had never hidden from anyone, or made a secret of!
