| | | lamping tonight hi there all i am of out tonight to do a bit of lamping for the local farmer. i will let you all know how i get on tommorow. i dont use dogs i shoot them; and every one i shoot will end up on the table or as hawk food and even my local butcher gets some for his shop. does anyone else do a bit of lamping? how about you bueto bueto i bet you;v done a bit eh? well i will see you all tommorow as my pal as just turned up for me ta ta for now i will keep you all posted roy

| | | Re: lamping tonight Nope. Had never done any type of hunting until I went hawking. I get into all sorts of bother over at the falconry forums when I say I'm a veggie! I only agree with hunting when the kill is done in a sporting way and the prey is used for food and not wasted. I also only think you should eat meat if you can catch, kill and prepare it yourself, but that's a whole other thread!! If I start hunting more regularly I may even make a nice wee rabbit stew for me and the family

| | | Re: lamping tonight  i all well what a night  we got to the orchard nice and pitch black guns at ready. well we started to scan the orchard with are lamps pink eyes every where shoot 15 not bad we then called it a night with the shooting .so we decided to take a walk around not agood thing to do in the dark . but never the less we saw foxs/fallow deer/ barn owls /tawny owls calling . unusual not being breeding season. any way we walk along the side of this feild .when all of a sudden my pal just diapeared out the blue . well i heard such a splash as .he is a big block . i put my lamp on and there he was up to his middrift in water. he only fell in the dyke .well  laugh i couldn;t stop he was soaked to the skin .time to get home . well apart from that it was ok . then the rain came as usual
