| | | Re: Passion for Angling Hi,
I have been lucky enough to have seen some footage by Martin Bowler of the filming they have been doing, fantastic guys and think it will be fantastic to watch when it comes on.
Also martin caught Lymes disease whilst filming, he discovered a tick under his watch strap and around his googlies area if I remember correctly. He was ill for a long time and probably still recovering, he thought he had just a bad cold at first!
Look forward to the full programme.

| | Catching the Impossible Well, I have just finished watching the first DVD of the new series that follows on from the Passion for Angling series called 'Catching the Impossible'.
It featured three episodes and oh my, what a treat, there was some lovely under water footage along with some cracking fish making an appearance. I'm already looking forward to the next DVD instalments released in the spring time. |

On one of our rivers up here in Yorkshire it was reported that we had Osprey taking trout last summer. Unfortunately I didn’t witness it but will be keeping a look out this summer.
There's something special being stood waist high in the river in the summer months with a fly hatch taking place and trout and grayling gulping them down around you.
I recomend it to all.
"I wind about, and in and out,
With here a blossom sailing,
And here and there a lusty trout,
And here and there a grayling"
Tennyson, The Brook | Welcome to the forum,, What part of Yorkshire do you hail from. Good to have a fellow fly fisher here.
About 40 yrs ago when fishing on the river derwent a Kingfisher perched on the rod I was holding. A magical moment I cant still picture know, As for other sightings I agree most of my best wildlife sughtings over the years have been made whilst fishing
